Regional Hubs

Why should I come to a regional hub?

The regional hubs are a new offering to our 2024 State Conference, aimed at increasing accessibility for those who are unable to attend in Melbourne. These will be unique opportunities to network, discuss issues relevant to your region, and access localised sessions while also streaming all the conference highlights.

How are regional hub places allocated?

Scholarship places are limited to 30 attendees at each hub.

If there is significant demand, your application to attend will be assessed based on:
  •  your role and experience in the volunteering sector,
  •  how you intend to pass on the knowledge gained at conference, and;
  •  your local connections.

Is there a cost to attend a regional hub?

No, all regional hub places are offered FREE of charge as part of our investment into regional networks.

Attendance will include:
  •  Access to all keynote and plenary sessions
  •  Access to a dedicated breakout stream
  •  Local networking opportunities
  •  In-person, localised sessions
  •  Catering across both days
  •  Interaction with the Melbourne event, via Slido
  •  Presentation resources (supplied post-event)

Are accommodation and travel costs covered?

No, you will need to cover any travel and accommodation costs (if required). However, make sure you are subscribed to our event updates so you’ll be first to hear if any scholarship opportunities become available.

I won’t know anyone there. Should I still register?

Absolutely! The hubs have been specifically designed to help facilitate networking at the local level. This is a great opportunity to meet and connect with other like-minded professionals in your area.
